14d763bSince today is Social Media Day 2014 – A.K.A #SMDAY, I thought it would be good for me to not write on something tactical or educational, but something completely commentary-ish.

Social media plays a very important role in my professional career. Every once in a while I say “this is so sweet” – and I am referring to something cool that I can do with social media. Because I am someone that has been around a while, I have seen the rise and fall of media channels and tactics… social media is not going to be one of them that’s for sure. The cookies you see pictured above were truly inspired because today is social media day.

Thanks to my incredible daughter who is a marketer for a local firm here in the Boston area and also a a wiz at baking, I have some sweet content to write about – and taste of course. What a cool thing for her to make social media cookies for social media day. Thank you Julianna.

Because this is a social media blog article, it just wouldn’t be right for me to finish writing this without adding some percentages or numbers that show measurement or value. I just can’t write a blog without at least trying to provide some research. So here goes. Yes, it’s all about cookies… with a little social media branding thrown-on topJ
