The more I read about the social intrapreneur, I have to be honest, the more I get frustrated. In the past 2 years, several influencers have taken this unique term and catapulted it to global proportions. For the record, I agree with them and glad they have done this. Now, nearly every CEO, every start-up and every business leader knows what a social intrapreneur is. They also know how important someone with that type of skill is to a company – especially in today’s social – technology driven business ecosystem. As I think about how this concept has all played out, I also think, ‘do business leaders really understand the real value of a social intrapreneur?’ – I’m not so sure they do. I do think enterprise companies can learn a lot from small start-ups regarding several aspects of social intrapreneurs.
